QAnon has been an unlikely benefactor of COVID-19, gaining followers the world over, as the deadly virus unearthed concerns about… a cabal of Satan-worshipping elite paedophiles running a child sex-trafficking organisation, and also plotting the downfall of Donald Trump? Right. Followers also believe that President Trump is developing a day of reckoning for these nasty paedophiles, where thousands of them will be arrested in one fell swoop. Now, while not a single element of the narrative purported by QAnon members is backed by any evidence, and paedophilia, while reprehensible, is probably not the scourge on society that they think it may be, you can’t fault their devotion to putting a stop to child sex abuse.
